RESOLUTION NO. 25443
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA ESTABLISHING A PUBLIC ART WALK AND DEDICATING ANY PROCEEDS RECEIVED FROM THE SALE OF PIECES OF ART FROM THE ART WALK COLLECTION TO BE USED IN PROJECT NO. 8442, "PUBLIC ART"

WHEREAS, the Council desires to enhance the downtown area; and

WHEREAS, the Art in Public Places Committee has developed a program to place pieces of art, loaned to the City in various locations throughout the downtown area; and

WHEREAS, the locations have been reviewed and approved by the Department of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, the project will cost $30,000 with the funding source being the Public Art Project No. 8442; and

WHEREAS, proceeds from the sale of pieces from the Art Walk collection would be returned to Project No. 8442.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council establishes a Public Art Walk Program.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any proceeds received from the sale of donated art included in the Art Walk collection would be dedicated for use in the Public Art Project. (No. 8442.)
