Description:
The Health Care Accountability Ordinance (HCAO) which became effective July 1, 2001 generally requires City contractors and certain tenants to offer health plan benefits to their covered employees or make payments to the City for use by the Department of Public Health or make payments directly to employees under limited circumstances.
