Student Senate Bill 315-040
A bill to fund Police Know-Your-Rights cards

WHEREAS, it is important for students to understand their rights when dealing with law enforcement;

WHEREAS, the Student Assembly has a responsibility to serve students by increasing awareness of student rights; and

WHEREAS, there has been recent concern over police action at William and Mary:

Now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Student Assembly of the College of William and Mary –

(1) Allocates $250 from the Primary Off-Campus account for 6000 Police Know-Your-Rights cards to be distributed via CSU mailboxes.
