RESOLUTION NO. RS2007-51
A resolution approving a contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health and the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville to arrange assistance in the planning, development and delivery of services for minority individuals affected and infected with HIV/AIDS.

WHEREAS, the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville, in accordance with the contract attached hereto and incorporated herein, wishes to arrange assistance in the planning, development and delivery of services for minority individuals affected and infected with HIV/AIDS to the Metropolitan Public Health Department; and

WHEREAS, in exchange for the delivery of services to the Metropolitan Public Health Department, the Metropolitan Government will provide payment of $186,698.00 for the period of August 1, 2007 through July 31, 2008.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health and the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville to arrange assistance in the planning, development and delivery of services for individuals affected and infected with HIV/AIDS, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
