Description:

The green dining committee was formed by parties on campus that were connected by Greg Andeck's inventory of the environmental impacts associated with Dining Services. The committee is made up of students, faculty, staff, eatery managers and community members.

It is called the "ad hoc" green dining committee both because it meets irregularly and because it formed organically rather than through a directive by any campus governing body.

Committee goals:

  • promote the recommendations made in the environmental impact inventory
  • organize programs and events to raise awareness about people and planet healthy eating
  • support campus eateries working to reduce their environmental impact
