Some people may be a little confused about the difference between an ordinance and a code of ordinances. The former is a specific document that seeks to enact or amend a municipal law, statute or regulation. The code of a locale is a compilation of all the enacted ordinances and it reflects all of the amendments to ordinances previously codified.
