Values
In choosing who among nominees will be recognized, we have produced a guideline of values to make the process more transparent. We believe Western Green Award Recipients:

• Initiate or support an activity with positive environmental outcomes
• Encourage participation and involvement
• Work co-operatively with other individuals and groups to achieve goals
• Demonstrate a sustained effort/campaign

The Award
Physical Plant has been working hard over the past few years to make our operations as sustainable as possible. However we have much more to accomplish.

We are inspired everyday by the diligent work of campus community members, who champion the cause of environmentalism and fight the uphill the battle of changing behaviour.

In this light, we wish to reward the work of these groups and individuals through recognition. We hope that these awards will inspire the recipients to continue their activism, as well as the present them as inspiration for the rest of the community to take action in their own way.

The Process
Nominations will be accepted until March 31. Our selection panel will review the nomination forms and select recipients based on the criteria outlined in the value statement. Recipients will be contacted upon their selection.
