Text:

Resolution in Support of Funding for Improved Bike Facilities on Campus

Whereas, transportation and mobility are a priority issue for students at the University of Colorado at Boulder; and

Whereas, the Campus Master Plan identifies many bike needs on campus that are not being implemented; and

Whereas, many bike racks on campus are dilapidated and outmoded in design. They can no longer accommodate modern bikes with wider handlebars; and

Whereas, there are many locations on campus where parking demand exceeds the supply.

Now Therefore, Be it Resolved:
That, The University of Colorado Legislative Council supports the funding of improved bike facilities on campus, including modern bike racks and the eventual construction of an east-west corridor.
