RESOLUTION NO. 080246
Directing the City Manager to include the question How will this contribute to a sustainable Kansas City? on fact sheets for all ordinances and resolutions.

WHEREAS, in Resolution No. 070830, the Council established the policy of the City to integrate green solutions protective of water in our City planning and development processes; and

WHEREAS, the Council is committed to using environmentally friendly approaches when possible in all of the Citys endeavors; and

WHEREAS, the City Manager issued an administrative regulation placing responsibility on department directors to include green solutions whenever possible and appropriate during the planning process into City policies, projects, and programs; and

WHEREAS, including the question How will this contribute to a sustainable Kansas City? on City fact sheets will increase awareness for green solutions, ensure that environmentally friendly approaches have been considered for all City efforts, and further the intent of the Council and City Manager;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
That the City Manager is directed to include the question How will this contribute to a sustainable Kansas City? on fact sheets for all ordinances and resolutions.
