Description:

The ELCO school community has been actively involved in recycling toner cartridges from printers over the past several years. Due to the commitment of local businesses as well as individuals, our program thrives. Points accumulated are used to obtain technology equipment which is used by students K-12 to complete projects in their classrooms.

Why is recycling so important?

  • First, the cartridge recycling program has made a dramatic impact on saving space in landfills.
  • Secondly, it is teaching our youth the importance of saving our environment.
  • It costs us nothing to operate this recycling program.
  • With the earned points we can place technology equipment in our classrooms.

Recyclables are being collected at all district building offices. Toner cartridges and cell phones are being accepted from organizations as well as from parents and interested community supporters. The items can be dropped off at any district building. If your business has a large quantity, contact Mrs. Dotty Noll at the HS to arrange for items to be picked up. ELCO School District is extremely appreciative of all community support.
