SUSTAINABILITY POLICY

The Beaverton School District will endeavor to conduct its operations and make decisions based upon the following sustainability priorities:

  • Protect students, staff and the community from environmental harm by striving to eliminate the use of toxic and harmful substances.
  • Teach sustainability concepts throughout the Pre-K-12 District curriculum that include principles and practices of environmental, social, and fiscal responsibility.
  • Adopt sustainability practices in District operations that balance environmental, social and fiscal responsibility, carefully consider lifecycle impact of District actions, and protect and enhance present and future quality of life.
